The upcoming production of Company in the West End features non-traditional casting in terms of gender. The protagonist, usually Bobby, a man afraid of marriage, is now Bobbie, a woman. The production's director, Marianne Elliott, chatted with The Guardian about the decisions made in the show, working with Sondheim, and more.

Celebrated recording artist/vocalist/songwriter Laury Shelley commemorates her years as the long-time vocalist and duet partner of Oscar and Grammy-winning composer Michel Legrand, with a tribute concert honoring her mentor. The Music Never Ends: Laury Shelley Sings Michel Legrand, will take place Monday, September 24th, 8pm and 10pm, at Chicago's legendary Jazz Showcase, Dearborn Station, 806 S. Plymouth Ct., Chicago. Laury will be backed by some of Chicago's premier jazz musicians: Ben Lewis on piano, Eric Hochberg on bass, Bob Rummage on drums and Grammy Award winning harmonica master Howard Levy. According to Baz Bamigboye's latest column, work is well underway for the upcoming gender-bent production of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's musical Company, and the composer is making considerable alterations to his beloved musical.

The complete cast was announced today for Marianne Elliott's highly anticipated new production of George Furth and Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY which opens at the Gielgud Theatre from 26 September 2018.

Big news came from the Company Twitter when they revealed that the already innovative casting will feature the musical's first same-sex couple. Jonathan Bailey takes on the somewhat newly created role of Jamie (formerly Amy), the character blessed (or cursed) with the unforgettable song 'Not Getting Married Today.' Alex Gaumond will play his soon-to-be husband Paul.

The Roundhouse today announced the line up of acts for Club Swizzle, a brand new show from the multi-award winning creators of La Soiree, that will take over the Roundhouse this summer for its UK and European premiere. The production will encompass all new outrageous cabaret, air-defying acrobatics and infectious musical revelry, backed by a live band. Taking place around, across and above a central, functioning bar, the show had its world premiere at Sydney Opera House and has since played to sell-out audiences across Australia. Club Swizzle will run from Tuesday 31 July - Sunday 26 August, with an Opening Night on Friday 3 August.

Natchez, the debut album from emerging rockers Bishop Gunn, will be released May 4on Farm2Turntable. The lead single, “Shine,” is out now and marks the first release of material tracked inside the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio since it reopened in January 2016.
