The Congress for Jewish Culture has been commissioned to present director Moshe Yassur’s critically acclaimed 2013 Off-Broadway Yiddish language staging of WAITING FOR GODOT at the prestigious Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, Sweden next month.

The new dance floor track was co-written by MNEK, who has worked with H.E.R. and Dua Lipa, and Little Mix’s Jade Thirwell. Porter revealed that the song is inspired by his life and everything that he has gone through to get himself where he is.

Based on the book “Harry Haft: Survivor of Auschwitz, Challenger of Rocky Marciano” by Alan Haft, the film was directed by Academy Award®-winner Barry Levinson (HBO’s “Paterno,” “You Don’t Know Jack” and “The Wizard of Lies”), whose previous HBO films have amassed a combined 26 Emmys®, with a script by Justine Juel Gillmer (“The 100”).

The Virginia Film Festival announced today that it will be returning for its 34th year with a program of in-theater and drive-in presentations from October 27-31, 2021.
