Following a critically acclaimed and sell-out tour across Wales last year, The Revlon Girl will come to PARK90 in September after a run at the Edinburgh Festival which is supported by The Arts Council of Wales. Written by composer and writer Neil Anthony Docking, The Revlon Girl is a poignant, heart-breaking and tender new play which explores a terrible episode in Welsh history and tells a story of amazing courage, hope and humour.
BBC National Orchestra of Wales Presents Relaxed Performances in Cardiff and at the BBC Proms

Building on its extensive work with Special Educational Needs Schools, BBC National Orchestra of Wales (BBC NOW) presents two relaxed performances in Cardiff and London. Led by conductor Grant Llewellyn and musician Andy Pidcock the Orchestra performs a Relaxed Concert at St David's Hall, Cardiff on 2 July and the first ever Relaxed Prom on 29 July at the Royal Albert Hall, London in collaboration with the BBC Proms and the Royal Albert Hall Education & Outreach team. Grant Llewellyn commented, “BBC NOW has over many years developed a pioneering approach to presenting music for all audiences, particularly those with special needs. These individuals have a unique connection with music and present a wonderfully responsive and interactive audience for symphony orchestras. I am so thrilled to have been part of this important and rich initiative within the BBC, and to be taking our message to the Proms in the Royal Albert Hall.”

Atlantic Theater Company has announced that the New York premiere play Animal by Clare Lizzimore (Mint) and directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch (Harper Regan, Bluebird) has been extended an additional week through Sunday, July 2 in advance of officially opening next Tuesday, June 6.

Theatre Royal Stratford East's new season opens with Counting Stars by award-winning playwright and newly appointed Writer in Residence Atiha Sen Gupta. The stage will be transformed into a studio format nightclub installation where you sit on the stage for this funny yet heart-breaking tale directed by Associate Director, Pooja Ghai. Doors will open at 715pm for music and a bar on stage to soak up the atmosphere before the show. The experience will start then. Ghai directs Estella Daniels as Sophie and Lanre Malaolu as Abiodun. The production opens on 1 September with previews from 26 August and runs until 17 September.
