HAMLET BY BEDLAM: Acclaimed Production Kicks-Off National Tour at White Eagle Hall

Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) presents Hamlet by Bedlam a now famous stripped-down version of Shakespeare's classic tragedy at White Eagle Hall, February 8-10. Hamlet by Bedlam is JCTC's first full theatre production at the restored, historic theater which reopened last year.

Arden Theatre Company announces the second production for The Writers' Room, an innovative playwright residency program, with At the Old Placeby Rachel Bonds. This new play, written during a four-month residency in Philadelphia receives a developmental production on the Arden's Arcadia Stage from today, July 18-28, 2013. The Writers' Room is made possible by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, the Independence Foundation through its New Theatre Works Initiative and an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support provided by The Harold & Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust.

Jackson's My Romantic History, running tonight, February 5-24 at the Off-Broad Street Theater in the First Baptist Church (1636 Sansom Street). My Romantic History premiered at the Traverse Theatre as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2010 where it was awarded the Scotsman Fringe First Award. It subsequently went to the Sheffield Theatre in Sheffield and the Bush Theatre in London. My Romantic History had a sold-out U.S. premiere at The Renegade Theater and Film Group in Los Angeles.

Lantern Theater Company Extends THE LIAR Through 12/9

Due to overwhelming demand, Lantern Theater Company announces a second extension of the Philadelphia premiere of The Liar by award-winning playwright David Ives. Playing to packed houses since its first performance on Nov. 1, Ives' "translaptation" of Pierre Corneille's comedy classic has drawn raves. The Liar will now run through Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012.

Early popular demand has prompted Lantern Theater Company to announce an immediate extension of the upcoming production of David Ives' The Liar, an adaptation of the 1664 French comedy classic by Pierre Corneille, directed by Associate Artistic Director Kathryn MacMillan. This Philadelphia premiere by the playwright of the Lantern's smash hit New Jerusalem, The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza at Talmud Torah Congregation: Amsterdam, July 27, 1656 will now run from November 1 - December 2, 2012 (press opening Wednesday, November 7, 7 p.m.).

Beautiful Boy, A Hatchling Production, is a play written by Associate Artistic Director Pete Pryor which explores the process of a father coming to terms with his son's diagnosis of autism. The show runs tonight, May 30-June 24, 2012 at the People's Light & Theatre, located at 39 Conestoga Road, Malvern, Pa. The official opening is set for June 1.
