The San Diego Symphony today announced its winter-spring 2022 concert season, offering 31 performances of classical and contemporary masterworks and chamber music from January 15 through May 28. Presented as “Hear Us Here,” the season will give the San Diego Symphony the opportunity to bring its music to a wider audience, with concerts performed at nine venues in the city and across the County, including the Symphony's newest venue, The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.

The Utah Symphony continues performances from its digital stage, this time led by Brazilian-born conductor Marcelo Lehninger, Music Director of the Grand Rapids Symphony since 2016. They are joined by audience-favorite guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas, who performs Joaquín Rodrigo's “Fantasía para un gentilhombre” as well as three surprise encores.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic today announced the world premiere of new solo instrumental works by the 2020/21 cohort of the Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program (CFP), which are available to view online here. The class of 20 high school students were invited to write solo pieces for members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, which the musicians then recorded from their homes during the lockdown caused by COVID-19.
