The Tony Award-winning Best Musical DEAR EVAN HANSEN has joined the BroadwayCon 2019 lineup. As part of the Spotlight series, the panel will feature Taylor Trensch (the current Evan Hansen), Michael Lee Brown (Alternate Evan Hansen; u/s Connor Murphy, Jared Kleinman), and Andrew Barth Feldman (Evan Hansen, starting January 30) in conversation on Saturday, January 12 at 11:15 a.m.

BroadwayCon and the Broadway League Foundation have announced finalists for the BroadwayCon 2019 Star To Be talent competition. BroadwayCon and the Broadway League Foundation have also announced today that the 2018 Jimmy Award winners Renee Rapp and DEAR EVAN HANSEN's Andrew Barth Feldman will perform during the BroadwayCon Star To Be competition on Saturday, January 12, while the judges deliberate.

Dear Evan Hansen producer Stacey Mindich has just announced today that Andrew Barth Feldman, the 16-year-old winner of the Best Actor Award at the 2018 National High School Musical Theatre Awards (known more commonly as the Jimmy Awards), will make his Broadway debut as 'Evan Hansen' on January 30, 2019. Feldman - who is currently a high school junior at Lawrence Woodmere Academy in Woodmere, New York - takes over the role from Taylor Trensch, who plays his final performance on January 27, 2019 after a year in the title role. Original Broadway cast member Michael Lee Brown will continue his run as the 'Evan' alternate.

The 2018 Jimmy Awards took place on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 7:30pm at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. Laura Benanti hosted. The coveted Jimmy Awards for Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor were presented to Renee Rapp, The Blumey Awards (Charlotte, NC) and Andrew Barth Feldman, The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance (New York, NY).

Just last night, a record 80 high school students from across America took part in the Jimmy Awards to compete for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress, which went to Renee Rapp and Andrew Barth Feldman. Tony Award Winner Laura Benanti hosted the presentation which was live streamed from the Minskoff Theatre.
