This July at the Flea Theater, America-In-Play will present the premiere of Exodus Code: Advice for Wanderers, a new theater production inspired by Yiddish vaudeville and the history of the Lower East Side. Running from July 12-July 28 and featuring direction from Lynn M. Thomson, the production will honor this long-neglected and entertaining cultural art form, linking the past to the present and bringing together an array of immigrant stories to evoke an archetypal immigrant experience. The show was first read at and developed with the assistance of the Lower East Side Tenement Museumwhere America-In-Play had a four-year partnership.

At Hand Theatre Company (Letters to the End of The World, Broadway Recycled) presents the World Premiere of Joshua Conkel's I WANNA DESTROY YOU, a romantic comedy that tears the trope of the gay sidekick to shreds. Produced by Matthew DiCarlo and Justin Scribner and directed by Dan Horrigan (As Wide As I Can See), previews begin May 17 at the Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row. Opening is slated for May 22.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the full slate of 34 musical productions and special events for its ninth annual festival. This year's Festival will begin July 9th and continue through July 29th. terraNOVA Collective kicks off the first annual GROUNDWORKS New Play Series at The New Ohio Theatre featuring the new plays generated by the 2012 Groundbreakers Playwrights Group and terraNOVA's other new play development projects.
