First Annual Orlando Sings Choral Fest Announced

Orlando Sings is one of Central Florida’s newest professional arts organizations and has already had an exciting and successful first season. Led by Artistic and Executive Director Dr. Andrew Minear, Orlando Sings serves as an umbrella organization for a family of singing groups including two professional ensembles, the Orlando Sings Symphonic Chorus and the Solaria Singers. This young organization has already had a great start to its first season with full and sold-out houses for each of the three concerts they have presented as well as a successful, sold-out gala fundraiser.

There’s an old adage that warns that you should never meet your childhood heroes because they will inevitably be disappointing. I’m happy to report that the old adage is dead wrong. Not only was Andrea McArdle not a disappointment, she was exactly right. She was in fantastic voice, she looked like a million bucks, and she sang every single song you wanted her to sing, including THAT one. But that song is only the tip of the iceberg in a long Broadway career that has been full of surprises. Her show tonight reflected that and had a few surprises of its own.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - the new intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway's 'off-night hotspot' by The New York Times - will present Andrea McArdle in her new show 'Broadway With a Little Holiday' on Sunday, December 15 and Friday, December 20, both at 7:00 PM. The orginal Annie star will perform songs from shows like Starlight Express, State Fair, Beauty and the Beast, and more, in addition to seasonal favorites and a handful of surprises. She will be joined by music director Steve Marzullo on piano.

Featuring a signature mixture of pop and Broadway, Andrea Wolff's I Can't Trace Time features a master entertainer who has been widely lauded for her strong comic timing, offbeat and compelling characterizations and superb taste in music. Prolific, award winning British Composer and Musical Director/Arranger, Jude Obermuller will lead a quintet and Special Guest Artist, guitarist Sean Harkness will appear. The show is directed by 2018 MAC and Bistro Award winning writer-actor, Dan Ruth. The Green Room 42 is located on the fourth floor of YOTEL NYC, on Tenth Avenue between 42nd and 41st Streets .
