Disney Theatrical Productions has just announced the full cast and creative team for its new Broadway musical, Frozen, which will join hits Aladdin and The Lion King on Broadway in spring 2018 at the St. James Theatre. 

The United Palace of Cultural Arts (UPCA) presents Danza Debuts, a program that features emerging choreographers who create original works in our new studios and debut it on the United Palace stage.

The first annual Broadway Bee, featuring Paige Davis (Chicago), Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland), Tony winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten), and Jose Llana (The King and I) took place just last night at The Cutting Room (44 E. 32nd St). Proceeds benefit Broadway Bound Kids, a NYC performing arts education organization. Ten teams, each representing a Broadway show, were encouraged to pull out all the stops to correctly spell the words. The more funds each team raised, the more they were allowed to cheat!

From June through September on select weekends, visitors to Sonoma County can conclude a day of wine tasting by attending Broadway Under the Stars, the main stage musical concert series presented by Transcendence Theatre Company in the open-air Winery Ruins of Jack London State Historic Park.

The 2011 edition of the annual Carols for a Cure album is now in the works. Produced by Rock-it Science Records and currently in it's thirteenth year, purchase of the album benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This highly anticipated annual holiday release features casts from the current line-up of prestigious shows performing new and traditional holiday music. Broadway's Carols for a Cure offers a 'snapshot' of each season, as the casts and orchestras from each show on Broadway perform their own holiday track. The cast of WICKED made their way into the studio last week and BroadwayWorld was there to capture the session!

On Monday, April 4th at 8 p.m. there will be The beginning of a weekly cabaret series: Cabaret For A Cause- Open Your Heart at Open Mic

Yesterday, September 15, the cast of Broadway's WICKED recorded a number for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS annual Carols for a Cure Album, which features Broadway casts performing holiday standards in the style of their musical's numbers. Wicked Chicago star Kevin Yee has announced his new online series, 'The Manhattan Boys.' The web event debuts today January 1st, 2009. The Manhattan Boys press notes explain, follows two New York friends Eddie and Bruce as they tour the country in a theater for young audiences educational musical called 'A Mother's Choice'. Along with an annoying third cast member Matty, they search each small town for the closest Pinkberry, and sexiest martini.

Dancers Responding with Action (DRA) presented a special sold-out event 'Dance from the Heart,' on Monday December 10 to benefit Broadway Cares / Equity Figths AIDS.

The national tour of All Shook Up, a rock 'n roll musical featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, began its run at The Opera House in Boston on September 26th, the third stop of the 35-city tour.
