Theatre Tuscaloosa presents its third annual production of A Christmas Carol December 10-16 in the Bean-Brown Theatre on the Martin Campus of Shelton State Community College (9500 Old Greensboro Rd).

Asheville Creative Arts (ACA), Asheville's professional children's theatre, continues in its 7th season to build on the successful mounting of its first world premiere, BUGS!, to present a second world premiere, LINTHEAD, as well as a new take on the family classic, CHARLOTTE'S WEB. Its mobile unit, which launched last season with the touring puppet musical, SLUG & SNAIL, will grow to include the touring version of BUGS!, and the company will offer expanded educational opportunities with both spring after-school classes and 2 sessions of summer camp. Details will be unveiled at ACA's annual Fall Fete held Nov 8 at Ambrose West (312 Haywood Road) from 7-9pm. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer/trumpet player Brian Newman and the New Alchemy Jazz Orchestra on Monday, October 8.

On Friday 25th January 2019 Heresy Records will release THE HERESY OSTRACA, by Roger Doyle, 'The Godfather of Irish Electronic Music'. Mike Tirico hosted the Week 1 edition ofFootball Night in America tonight from NBC Sports' International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn., in advance of the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. The 49th season of Monday Night Football will kick off on ESPN with a doubleheader Monday, September 10 - New York Jets at Detroit Lions (7:10 p.m. ET) and Los Angeles Rams at Oakland Raiders (10:15 p.m. / 7:15 p.m. PT). ESPN's 17-game prime time schedule in 2018 will feature 11 of the 12 playoff teams from 2017, including both the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and AFC champion New England Patriots.

ESPN's MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL 2018 preseason action kicks off Thursday, Aug. 16, when the New York Jets and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater visit the Washington Redskins, led by new quarterback Alex Smith, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. Bridgewater, formerly with the Minnesota Vikings, will look to regain a starting role in the NFL after a knee injury in August 2016 sidelined him for nearly two full seasons.

The world-premiere season of the true-crime immersive theatre production, DEADHOUSE: Tales of Sydney Morgue, will be presented by Blancmange Productions and Actors Anonymous from 24th April to 19th May.

The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans returns to Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center for its annual offering for the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival.  One Arm follows Ollie Olsen, a young veteran who is mangled in a car accident and has to resort to desperate measures to get through his most desperate times. Set against the backdrop of the French Quarter in the 1930s and 40s, this is a darker look at the Crescent City than many of Williams' works.

BET Networks announces Season 2 of hit series THE QUAD, starring Tony Award winners Anika Noni Rose and Ruben Santiago-Hudson. Premiering Today, January 23, 2018 at 10 P.M. ET/PT on BET, the new season also sees the return of stars Peyton Alex Smith, Jazz Raycole, Zoe Renee, Jake Allyn, Michelle DeFraites and Sean Blakemore.
