La Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil de México (OSIM) se ha convertido en un gran semillero de talentos y detonador de vocaciones para la niñez y juventud en el país, quienes han encontrado en esta agrupación un sinfín de razones y motivos para dedicarse a la música o estar ligados para siempre a ella, expresó su director artístico y  titular del Sistema Nacional de Fomento Musical (SNFM), Roberto Rentería Yrene, en conferencia de prensa al dar a conocer los detalles de la 31 gira nacional de conciertos y con la cual la joven orquesta celebra 21 años de trayectoria.

La Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno de México y el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal), por medio de la Coordinación Nacional de Artes Visuales (CNAV), y el gobierno del estado de Aguascalientes, a través de su Instituto Cultural (ICA), y el Patronato de la Feria Nacional de San Marcos, organizan las mesas de diálogo que se llevarán a cabo a partir del 15 de junio y hasta el 9 noviembre, a través de Facebook Live, a las 19:00 horas, las cuales forman parte del programa público XLIII Encuentro Nacional de Arte Joven (ENAJ) 2023. 

Porchlight Music Theatre has announced a line up including more than 50 Chicago artists performing, greetings and well wishes from Broadway stars including E. Faye Butler, Sean Allan Krill, Telly Leung, LaChanze, Susan Moniz and Kathy Voyto, a new raffle prize for a weekend in the home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and more as a part of its annual Chicago Sings fundraising concert.

Country crooner and season 17 Champion of NBC's The Voice, Jake Hoot is channeling his childhood with the release of new single, 'La Bamba.' Produced by Danny Myrick and recorded at the Sound Emporium, 'La Bamba' is the lead-off single from Hoot's debut EP due out in January of 2021.

Firebrand Theatre's second season opens with a poignantly fitting musical choice: composer Jeanine Tesori and librettist Tony Kushner's CAROLINE, OR CHANGE. In the musical from this renowned writing team, protagonist Caroline Thibodeaux, a black woman working as a maid for a white Jewish family in 1963 Lake Charles, Louisiana goes on a powerful journey of self-discovery. Firebrand, in partnership with TimeLine Theatre Company, has made a production choice that fits the company's feminist mission like a glove.
