This week we are excited to feature Michael Patrick Walker, composer of the popular musical Altar Boyz, and his song "Someday." 13's Al Calderon, who recently appeared on The X Factor, sang this song at our concert at NYMF.

After the Four Chair Challenge round of THE X FACTOR, Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio each revealed the four acts in their categories that will continue in the competition and join them in the live shows.

It's the second week of The X Factor's new Four-Chair Challenge.

On last night's The X Factor on FOX, the top 40 acts were revealed and the judges were assigned their categories. Also on the show, it was announced that the remaining contestants would face a new round of competition known as the 'Four Chair Challenge'. Check out a sneak peek below!

It's the last night of auditions on The X Factor! Tonight, we finally find out which category each judge gets to mentor for the rest of the competition.

Pop star Ariana Grande, rose to immense popularity starring as the beloved Cat Valentine, culminating in her own hit series Sam & Cat. The series premiered on Nickelodeon in June 2013 and is now a bona fide hit for the network. Broadway fans knew her long before however, as she starred in the original cast of Broadway's '13'.

Cutting-Edge Composers presented the next generation of musical theatre songwriters last night, July 23 at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 w. 46th Street). The event was directed and produced by Laura Pietropinto (Next to Normal), co-produced by Jillian Robbins and Musically Directed by Virginia Hart Pike. The Hartt School alumnus Steve French, a 2003 graduate of Hartt's Actor Training program, joins the acclaimed cast and creative team of the New York City premiere of the new musical The Burnt Part Boy, a co-production between Playwrights Horizons and Vineyard Theatre. The performance runs from April 30 through June 13.

Playwrights Horizons and Vineyard Theatre are presenting the New York premiere of the new musical THE BURNT PART BOYS. With a book by Mariana Elder, music by Chris Miller, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and direction and musical staging by four-time Helen Hayes Award winner Joe Calarco (Shakespeare's R&J), the joint production opened on Tuesday, May 25 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, June 13 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theatre (416 West 42nd Street).
