Outfest, the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBTQ stories on the screen, announced today that it will honor MJ Rodriguez at the 2019 Outfest Legacy Awards Gala: A Benefit to Protect Our Past and Build Our Future, on Sunday, October 27th. The presenting sponsor is Cadillac.

 Outfest, the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization promoting equality by creating, sharing, and protecting LGBTQ stories on the screen, announced today that it will honor Emmy Award-winning “Queer Eye” production company Scout Productions at the 2019 Outfest Legacy Awards Gala: A Benefit to Protect Our Past and Build Our Future, on Sunday, October 27th. Outfest will also honor “Vida” creator, executive producer and showrunner Tanya Saracho during the “Unveiling of a New Era” themed gala. The show will be hosted by Emmy nominated Sheryl Lee Ralph and include a special performance by Dana Goldberg. This year's awards dinner will once again take place at performing arts venue Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles, with head chef Neal Fraser of Redbird and the show will be produced by Tony award-winning producer Scott Mauro.

American Dance Movement (ADM), formerly the Dizzy Feet Foundation, has announced a new date for National Dance Day, to be celebrated annually on the third Saturday of September. The move will begin this year, on Saturday, Sept. 21. Recognized by Congress as a national day of dance, NDD promotes dance as a form of valuable exercise and of artistic expression.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic announces its 98th summer season at the Hollywood Bowl. Paramount Pictures' WHAT MEN WANT fourth annual Women of Football event presented by Women Rising will return to the Super Bowl week event lineup in Atlanta on Sat., Feb. 2 from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. YouTube today dropped the highly-anticipated trailer for the new season of its hit dance drama STEP UP: HIGH WATER. Series regulars NE-YO, Naya Rivera and Faizon Love will be returning along with Jade Chynoweth, Eric Graise, Terrence Green, Petrice Jones, Marcus Mitchell, Carlito Olivero, Kendra Oyesanya, alongside newcomers Ashley Greene, Robin Givens and Jeremy Copeland in recurring roles. Produced by Lionsgate, the second season of Step Up: High Water will debut on YouTube Premium on March 20th, 2019.

It was announced today at Mipcom that a  musical adaptation of 'Train Man' is in the works in the U.S., according to Deadline. The hit Japanese series will be made into a musical for American audiences by 'Everybody Loves Raymond' creator Phil Rosenthal and writer-executive producer Tucker Cawley. Adam Shankman (Hairspray) is set to direct and executive produce.
