Birdseed is the tale of two young children who, living with their ailing Grandfather in the tenement district of a big city, find solace in a small garden they have grown and nurtured themselves in an empty lot. It is a place where they can find happiness. It is only when their garden has been condemned by the city, that they learn how dreams can really exist. The garden brings them greater understanding of life itself, friendships and the true meaning of miracles. This 'miracle on 44th Street' is a musical for children and grownups alike. The complete teenage cast and teenage band was announced today for 13, A New Musical, with music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Last Five Years).

Goodspeed Musicals', the only two-time Tony Award winning theatre in the country, latest production, 13, a new musical comedy about coming of age, teen traumas and high school survival, will hit the stage at The Norma Terris Theatre in Chester, Connecticut, May 9 - June 8. 13 is sponsored by Essex Savings Bank.
