This evening, in a celebration attended by approximately 900 theatre artists, staff, critics, and friends, Theatre Philadelphia distributed 27 awards at the 2016 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre, including the first-ever Victory Foundation Award for Outstanding Theatre Education Program.

Bristol Riverside Theatre concludes its 2015-2016 season daring audiences to "dream the impossible dream" with the ever-popular musical Man of La Mancha running May 10-June 5.  With music by Mitch Leigh, lyrics by Joe Darion, and book by Dale Wasserman, the production is directed by Keith Baker and features the triumphant return of Gypsy star Robert Newman, joined by Sharon Alexander, Julian Brightman, Lauren Cupples, Robert Farruggia, Tamra Hayden, Christopher Roche, Danny Rutigliano, Dwayne Alistair Thomas, and Danny Vaccaro.  The cast is supplemented by the ensemble of Rajeer Alford, Daniel Bontempo, Elena Camp, Will Connell, Stephan Dagrosa, John DiFerdinando, Adam Hoyak, Kevin Murray, and Victor Rodriguez.

Back by popular demand, the 'Jingle Belles' return for a 3rd season with an all new night of holiday cheer with JINGLE BELLES: SNOWED IN. An original song cycle cabaret featuring some of our favorite medleys, mixed with new and original arrangements by Matthew Mastronardi.   

'The Who's Tommy', the rock and roll sensation from Pete Townshend and the famed band, is on stage at The Media Theatre each weekend now through August 9. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

The Media Theatre's Broadway Series starts up again in September, but until then several professional actors who have appeared on its stage will headline the classic rock and roll musical 'The Who's Tommy' in July and August.

Bristol Riverside Theatre explores what it means to be an American with its production of Ragtime on March 17-April 12. The Tony Award-winning musical with book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens is directed by Keith Baker and features Leslie Becker, Derrick Cobey, David Edwards, Tamar Greene, Michael Thomas Holmes, Matt Leisy and Ciji Prosser. Supporting roles will be played by Ciaran Barlow as Edgar, Will Connell as Houdini, Jim Conte as Grandfather, Stephen Dagrosa as Willie Conklin, Sarah J. Gafgen as Emma Goldman, and Chelsey Jean as Evelyn Nesbitt. The ensemble includes Rajeer Alford, Amy L. Armstrong, Charles Michael Bendas, Daniel Bontempo, Elena Camp, John DiFerdinando, Jessica Gruver, Brian Michael Henry, Adam Hoyak, Angelica Jackson, Jessica M. Johnson, Walter E. In itself, there is no plausible reason why this story line should warrant a Broadway musical. However, at the hands of the multi- talented Terrence McNally (book); Marc Shaiman (music); Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (lyrics) well, this venture does indeed “Fly, Fly Away.”
