John Mulaney will explore the city of Los Angeles with his comedian friends in the upcoming Netflix special John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's In LA. MGM+ has ordered a new sci-fi series EARTH ABIDES, a television adaptation of the legendary cult classic novel, featuring Alexander Ludwig in a leading role. Created by showrunner Todd Komarnicki (Sully), the series will star Alexander Ludwig (Vikings) as “Ish” and begin production in Vancouver on April 8.

CRIME SCENE KITCHEN has been renewed by FOX for a third season, with Joel McHale back as the host and executive producer. Season Three of the popular FOX food franchise Crime Scene Kitchen is scheduled to premiere during the upcoming 2024-2025 season, with chef Curtis Stone and cake artist Yolanda Gampp returning as celebrity judges.

Keen Company and Working Theater will present the world premiere of Kia Corthron’s Fish. Directed by Adrienne D. Williams, Fish is a frank, funny, and fearless new play about the everyday people who make up America’s education system.

Apple TV+ announced a fifth season for the broadly acclaimed, darkly comedic spy drama “Slow Horses,” following its season three finale. The five-time BAFTA Award-nominated series stars Academy Award winner Gary Oldman, who was recently honored with a Golden Globe nomination for his outstanding performance as the irascible Jackson Lamb.

Featuring new hosts, Emmy-nominated entertainment journalist Nina Parker and comedian Kevin Fredericks, the revival of the weekend movie destination will kick off with a double-feature celebration of two Oscar-winning cultural milestones in film: “Black Panther” starring Chadwick Boseman, and “King Richard” starring Will Smith.

InHouse Theatre’s next site-specific production Matt Schatz’ The Past, A Present Yet To Come will open December 4, 2023 at The Artisan Studios, moving over to The Ebell of Los Angeles December 11th. Tom Detrinis directs the cast of Keri Safran, Brandon Scott and Rob Welsh.  After returning from his trip to Mexico, Brandon graciously found time to answer a few of my queries.
