'Sleep F$@cking: Revision' by Margot Mejia is an exploration of the physical experience of writing and revising a work that delves into a troubled writer's mind. Wine-addled and in a mire of insomnia, a character named John begins to lose sight of what is real and what is the novel. The world of the play and the novel overlap and become one, as John physically enters his book and the stage is overtaken by both realities, making both him and the audience question their interpretation of events. Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival will present the play's world premiere August 26 to September 4.

Paola Hartley, Karl Condon And Ilya Kozadayev and More Will Be On Faculty For Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive


ZHONG-JING FANG, soloist of American Ballet Theatre, PAOLA HARTLEY, former principal dancer of Ballet Arizona, KARL CONDON, former principal dancer of the Boston Ballet, and ILYA KOZADAYEV, former soloist of the Houston Ballet will be on the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana.   Zhong-Jing Fang and Paola Hartley will be on the faculty from July 23-27, 2018, and Karl Condon and  Ilya Kozadayev will be on the faculty from July 30-August 3, 2018.

Once again, the whispers, thunder and wonders of the Great Auditorium Pipe Organ will ring out during The Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association (OGCMA)'s Free Organ Recital Series, a signature part of its summer-long program of family entertainment. OGCMA's Pipe Organ is among the largest in the world and is the heart-beat of this Christian Victorian resort on the Jersey Shore. The historic 11,000-pipe instrument was built and installed in 1908 with original design innovations that became standard elements still extant in modern organ construction. It is made of over 40,000 feet of California No. 1 Sugar Pine and weighs 20-25 tons. In its illustrious 109-year history, this remarkable instrument has been played by numerous distinguished organists, including Will C. MacFarlane, Clarence Kohlman, Josephine Eddowes, Harold Fix, Clarence Reynolds, Beverly Davis, Jon Quinn, and Robert Carwithin. YouTube Red has ordered a pilot for HIGH & TIGHT, a new comedy starring Sung Kang (Power, Fast Five, Better Luck Tomorrow)and Danny Pudi (Community, Powerless). HIGH & TIGHT is a baseball buddy comedy about a young translator forced far beyond his comfort zone when he's hired as the full-time interpreter-slash-babysitter for LA's newly-signed and ill-behaved star Korean outfielder.

Boston Ballet Presents CLASSIC BALANCHINE


Boston Ballet presents Classic Balanchine, an array of iconic and diverse works by esteemed choreographer George Balanchine. The program opens with Balanchine's allegorical Prodigal Son, a powerful tale of sin and redemption, followed by the return of Stravinsky Violin Concerto, a tribute to his friendship and frequent collaborations with the celebrated composer. The Company premiere of Balanchine's dreamlikeChaconne concludes the program. Classic Balanchine runs May 17–June 9, 2018, at the Boston Opera House.
