A group of stars have performed a new virtual cover of The New World from Jason Robert Brown's Songs For a New World.

As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Frozen will not be re-opening when Broadway returns from its shutdown. In honor of the show, the ushers at the St. James Theatre created a video, set to Let It Go.

The Broadway production of Frozen will not reopen as a result of the industry-wide shutdown and resulting economic fallout. The production's final performance was Wednesday evening March 11, having played 825 performances and 26 previews.

On Friday's episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, Frozen on Broadway's new Anna and Elsa,  McKenzie Kurtz and Ciara Renée, performed the television debut of 'I Can't Lose You.' 

Frozen has welcomed a trio of new stars to the company beginning last night, Tuesday, February 18, 2020. McKenzie Kurtz makes her Broadway debut starring as Anna, Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) stars as Elsa, and Ryan McCartan (Wicked; Heathers: The Musical; Disney Channel's 'Liv & Maddie') joins the cast as Hans.

As it approaches its second anniversary on Broadway, Frozen will welcome a trio of new stars joining the company tonight, Tuesday, February 18, 2020. McKenzie Kurtz makes her Broadway debut starring as Anna, Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) stars as Elsa, and Ryan McCartan (Wicked; Heathers: The Musical; Disney Channel's “Liv & Maddie”) joins the cast as Hans, replacing Patti Murin, Caissie Levy, and Joe Carroll, respectively.

Original stars of Frozen, Caissie Levy and Patti Murin, play their final performance as Elsa and Anna tonight, February 16.

Arendelle will soon welcome new royalty! BroadwayWorld has just learned that Ciara Renée, McKenzie Kurtz and Ryan McCartan will soon join the cast of Broadway's Frozen as Elsa, Anna, and Hans. All three will play their first performance on February 18. They take over the roles from original company members Caissie Levy and Patti Murin and Joe Carroll.

The cold never bothered Broadway anyway! Frozen is now playing at the historic St. James Theatre, where it opened on Thursday, March 22, 2018 and has been in the top 10 best-selling shows every week, establishing itself as the biggest musical hit of its season. Having grossed more than any new Broadway musical since Hamilton and set four St. James Theatre house records in less than a year, Frozen has been seen by nearly 1M people since its Denver pre-Broadway engagement. Bares in back! Broadway's fiercest talents join forces for one of Broadway's biggest nights- Broadway Bares: Take Off this Sunday, June 16, 2019. The evening is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Just yesterday, the company of Frozen celebrated its first anniversary with a party at The Stinger cocktail bar in The Intercontinental. On hand for the festivities were original stars Caissie Levy (Elsa) and Patti Murin (Anna) and new principal cast members Joe Carroll as Hans, Noah J. To celebrate the debut of the Frozen Original Broadway Cast Recording, the show has just released a brand new, behind-the-scenes music video of its best known song and Act I closer, "Let It Go." This is the first time that the Broadway version of the song, and Caissie Levy's (Elsa) thrilling vocal performance, have been heard outside of the St. James Theatre. The video takes the viewer into the recording studio with Levy and into the backstage and onstage worlds of the cast of the Broadway production of Frozen. "Let It Go" won the Academy Award® in 2014 for Best Original Song.

St. Dunstan's Theatre Guild of Cranbrook will close out their season this year with the classic musical, Oliver! Come experience "theatre under the stars," as this classic musical will be performed in the beautiful outdoor Greek Theatre, located right behind the St. Dunstan's pavilion in Bloomfield Hills.

The Frozen Original Broadway Cast Recording will be on sale digitally by Walt Disney Records on Friday, May 11, 2018 at digital music services. The physical album will be available on Friday, June 8, 2018 wherever music is sold. The album is produced by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, Robert Lopez, Stephen Oremus, Dave Metzger and Chris Montan.
