Born in England, Rob trained as a Mechanical Engineer for Historic Formula 1. Inspired by the comedic talents of David Jason, Fowler at the age of 25, decided to pursue a career as an actor, starting out in various adaptations of Shakespeare plays at the Key Theatre, followed by the UK touring production of The Buddy Holly Story during which was asked to join the cast of the German production of Starlight Express in the roles of Caboose and Rusty/Greaseball.

Rob’s subsequent German stage appearances include Rum Tum Tugger in Cats, Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, Berger in Hair, Death in Elizabeth, Jamie in The Last Five Years, Corny Collins in Hairspray, Galileo in We Will Rock You, the title role in Frank Wildhorn's Dracula, Joe in the Latin Pop Opera Carmen Cubana and most recently Dan Goodman in Next to Normal.

Fowler has not only made a name for himself in both regional and national theatres throughout Europe, he has also performed as a solo artist in numerous arenas across Germany. His repertoire combines Rock, Pop & Jazz.

As a composer, lyricist and frontman of the rock band Morton in 2006, Fowler released his first album Pillowtalk enjoying heavy rotation radio airplay with singles Sorry, Irish Girl, Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

In 2008 Fowler returned to acting, this time in front of the camera in the Austrian romantic TV comedy series Ex.

Together with Beat4Feet Fowler co-wrote the official EHF Champions League 2014 song "Do It Like Us."

Prior to Fowler's participation with The Voice of Germany 2012, Rob was part of the 2008 original cast of Richard O'Briens European touring production of The Rocky Horror Show Reloaded portraying the leading role of the eccentric Dr. Frank’n’Furter, in which Fowler achieved an abundance of new fans and followers.

BWW Review: RICHARD O'BRIAN'S ROCKY HORROR SHOW at MusemusQuartier Vienna

Time is fleeting. More than 20 million people worldwide have done the Time Warp since Opening Night back in 1973. Richard O'Brian's tunes still made people dance and sing, some of them perfectly dressed for Frank'n'Furter's Floorshow. No one ever expected this little show to generate an ongoing hype, a musical party that nothing can rely on. If you don't know, you know now! The ROCKY HORROR SHOW is a one-of-a-kind Musical Theatre sensation. A divine party with illustrious characters and catchy tunes, one of the secrets of the show's huge success. The likes of Rob Fowler ( Frank'n'Furter) or Stuart Matthew Price ( with one of the best Riff-Raff interpretations of all time) set a very high bar when the Tour first hits the road. Massive shoes or heels to fill for the current cast members. The whole plot is brought back to the roots, and the (thrifty) set design reminds you of the good old B-Movies. The fewer people you get on stage, the more you have to increase the volume. Of course, Rockn Rolls Number one rule is, the louder, the better, and damn it ( Janet), Musical Director Dan Tomkinson and his fellowship of musicians transformed the Halle F into a Rock Venue.

BWW Review: BAT OUT OF HELL, New Wimbledon Theatre

The songs of Meat Loaf and J.M Barrie’s story of Peter Pan are not an immediately obvious combination, but Bat Out Of Hell attempts to fuse these elements with hints of West Side Story, Rock Of Ages and Wagner-esque unrestrained theatricality.
