Penguin Rep Theatre concludes its 2022 season – the nonprofit professional theatre's 43rd since its founding in 1979 -- with the world premiere of NOW COMES THE FUN PART, a musical revue with lyrics by Mark Waldrop, music by Jeffrey Lodin, and book by James Hindman and Lynne Halliday, beginning Friday, September 30 and running through Sunday, October 23 in Stony Point, New York.

Performances are June 9th through July 10th, Thursdays & Fridays 8pm; Saturdays 3pm & 8pm; and Sundays at 2pm. Patrons can purchase 

Leanne and her friends are entertaining at their local VFW hall when they come across a collection of letters from the past hundred years. The singers are moved to put on a show inspired by the letters home from soldiers, sailors and airmen spanning from World War I through Afghanistan. Songs range from “You Made Me Love You” and “Please Mr. Postman” to “Push It” and “Single Ladies.”

The New Jersey Repertory Company announced their 2022 season today, February 13th. The theatre company, founded in 1997, will stage four productions from now through August.

Now Comes the Fun Part opened at Riverbank Theatre in July and has enjoyed three weeks of sold out crowds. Due to popular demand, the show will be moving to the Snug Theatre for an additional two weekends, July 29 – August 7th.
