For this weekend only, the Houston Symphony will be housing New York artists Rodney Ingram, Hailey Kilgore, Derek Klena, and Ali Stroker to perform showstoppers from today’s hottest musicals in their concert, '21st Century Broadway'! BroadwayWorld Houston was able to speak to Stroker about what we can look forward to at this one-of-a-kind concert.

Following the conclusion of its third season in late 2023, Power Book III: Raising Kanan has just been renewed for a fifth season. The fourth season is currently filming in New York. The series stars MeKai Curtis in the titular role of Kanan, Tony and Grammy Award winner Patina Miller as his mother, Hailey Kilgore as Jukebox, and more.

Hailey Kilgore releases her new single, 'Drama Queen,' showcasing nostalgic R&B melodies and powerful vocals reminiscent of Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys. Hailey's first EP, DESIRE AND DEVOTION, which was spearheaded by Kilgore and world-renowned producer, Adam Blackstone (Nicki Minaj, Janet Jackson).

Tony Award nominee and Broadway favorite Betsy Wolfe headlined the annual New York Pops Underground cabaret performance on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 54 Below. Wolfe performed selections from Waitress, The Last Five Years, and & Juliet, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award. See photos from the show!

Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke’s contract with The New York Pops has been extended through the 2027-2028 season.

The new season will include Tony Danza reprising his role of Italian mobster Stefano Marchetti, and of course, returning series regulars including the formidable Patina Miller as “Raquel Thomas” and MeKai Curtis in the titular role of “Kanan Stark.” Broadway alum Hailey Kilgore will also return to the series as “Jukebox.”

El Mago Pop, the eponymous Broadway show from Antonio Díaz, “El Mago Pop,” opened on Broadway on Sunday, August 20th at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. Check out photos from opening night party here!
