Adam Cork writes mainly for the stage, creating integrated music/sound scores embracing instrumental music, electronic music, sound design and song. His musical London Road (NT) won the 2011 Critics’ Circle Award for Best Musical. A film version was released in 2015.
His other scores and sound designs include King Lear (Donmar Warehouse, Olivier Award 2011), Anna Christie (Evening Standard Award 2011), Red (Donmar Warehouse/Broadway, Tony Award 2010), Travesties (Tony nomination 2018 Best Sound), Enron (Tony nominations 2010 Best Score, Best Sound), Macbeth (Tony nomination 2008), Frost/Nixon (Broadway 2007).

Adam Cork has been nominated for several prestigious awards for his work in the theater industry. These nominations include Best Sound Design of a Play at the Tony Awards for "Ink" and "Travesties," Best Sound Design at the Olivier Awards for "Travesties," "King Lear," and "Suddenly Last Summer," Best Designer at the Evening Standard Awards for "Anna Christie" and "King Lear," Outstanding Music in a Play at the Drama Desk Awards for "A Lie of the Mind" and "Frost/Nixon," Outstanding Sound Design in a Play at the Drama Desk Awards for "Enron" and "Macbeth," and Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre at the Tony Awards for "Enron."
