ROCK OF AGES Will Perform New Years Eve In Palm Springs

For those looking for a rockin' New Year's Eve party to ring in 2019, Spa Resort Casino and Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa will simultaneously host a "Rockin' 80s New Year's Eve Party" at both properties on Monday, December 31. The events will be marked by special performances by the electrifying rock stars from the original cast of Broadway's groundbreaking musical "Rock of Ages" at Spa Resort Casino, and Southern California's premier dance band, Pop Vinyl, will bring their high-energy performance of crowd-pleasing hits to The Show at Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa.

The Spa Resort Casino event kicks off at 8 p.m. in downtown Palm Springs with music provided by DJ Dense, noted Los Angeles DJ and Music Director for the Los Angeles Clippers. From 10:30 p.m. to midnight, Broadway's Rock of Ages Band will play a concert featuring the greatest rock hits from the glam metal bands and rockers of the '80s, including songs by Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Journey, Whitesnake, Poison, Joan Jett, Styx, Pat Benatar, REO Speedwagon, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, and many more. The event will also feature photo opportunities with roaming 80s lookalikes, food trucks, and bar gardens with food and beverages available for purchase. A midnight celebration with a multimedia countdown and fireworks spectacular will ring in the West Coast New Year.

The "Rockin' 80s New Year's Eve Party" at Spa Resort Casino is an outdoor ticketed event. The Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa event starts at 9 p.m. in Rancho Mirage featuring entertainment in the casino, including a DJ playing hits of the 80s from 9 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., photo opportunities with roaming 80s lookalikes, party favors, and a live countdown to midnight on television screens throughout the floor starting at 11 p.m. In addition, food and drink specials will be offered throughout the resort's various restaurants, including at the award-winning fine dining restaurant The Steakhouse, which will be serving dinner from 5 p.m. to midnight.

Guests with concert tickets will be able to take the party into the resort's state-of-the-art concert theater, The Show at Agua Caliente, for Pop Vinyl's performance followed by a midnight countdown complete with confetti cannons. Starting at 9 p.m., prior to Pop Vinyl's 10:30 p.m. performance, and after the midnight countdown, guests can dance to the hits of the 80s as a live DJ set keeps the party going inside The Show until 1:30 a.m.

Earlier in the day on December 31, both Spa Resort Casino and Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa will offer New Year's at Noon specials on the casino floors in celebration of 2019, giving players the opportunity to win up to $2,019 in free play.
