Wekiva River Players Present Student Showcase Ft. Adam Pascal Wekiva River Players will present a Student Showcase Performance on November 10 at 8pm in the Lake Mary High School Auditorium, featuring special performances by Broadway star Adam Pascal, who originated the role of Roger in RENT on Broadway and in the 2005 film. The showcase will follow a master class workshop to be conducted by Pascal from 2-5pm at the same location.

In addition to Pascal, workshop participants and drama students from area high school will perform in the showcase. Tickets are $25-$45; limited VIP tickets are available for $95 and include a meet-and-greet reception with Pascal, as well as a photo, autograph, and DVD of the performance. All tickets are reserved seating.

For the workshop, Pascal will work one-on-one with the participants as they individually perform and receive feedback on their chosen material. The event is limited to 15 high school students, and the cost is $125. General admission tickets to observe the master class (recommended for ages 10 and up) are $10.

In addition to his role in RENT, Pascal also starred on Broadway in Aida (Radames), Cabaret (Emcee), Chess (Freddie), Chicago (Billy), Memphis (Huey), Disaster (Chad), and most recently, Something Rotten (Shakespeare). He has released two solo rock albums, Model Prisoner (2000), Civilian (2004), as well as a collaborative rock album Blinding Light (2008) with pianist Larry Edoff. In television and film, he has appeared in School of Rock (2003), Temptation (2004), and Cold Case (2006). Pascal tours regularly, performing sold-out solo concert around the country.

Founded in 1993, Wekiva River Players is committed to providing the community with theatrical entertainment, offering area residents the opportunity to participate in theatrical productions, and encouraging the education, growth, development and interest in theater through support of the performing arts.
