Page 73 Names Amanda Feldman New Managing Director

Page 73 announced today that Amanda Feldman will assume the role of Managing Director of Page 73. Her tenure at Page 73 began earlier this month.

"I have always been inspired by the way that Page 73 centers and empowers playwrights and by the beautiful and impactful productions that it produces," said Feldman. "It is a privilege to join the staff in our 20th Anniversary season and continue the work of growing and strengthening the organization so we can continue to support and bolster the careers of tomorrow's award-winning dramatists."

Feldman is a theatre producer, manager, and advocate. In recent years, she has produced with En Garde Arts, The Foundry Theatre, The Play Company, and The Playwrights Realm. She founded Neighborhood Productions to support entrepreneurial theater artists who sought to self-produce their own works. For five years, she was the General Manager of the Lark Play Development Center. She led The NYC World Theatre Day Coalition where she created and curated The Around-the-Globe Chain Play. She was the founding Managing Director of CollaborationTown, a Theatre Company, Inc. and produced seven of their world premieres. She advocated for the indie theatre community, holding leadership roles for The Community Dish, The League of Independent Theatres, and the NY Innovative Theatre Foundation. She sits on the Boards of History Matters/Back to the Future, an organization dedicated to the study and production of women's plays of the past and is a Women's Project Theatre Producers Lab Alum.

Producing Artistic Director Michael Walkup stated, "I'm delighted for Amanda to join Page 73 after a thorough and rewarding search process. She brings a wealth of experience with playwrights and producing that we are already benefitting from as we're about to open our fall premiere. Our staff is larger than ever, we're growing our capacity to pursue our mission, and Amanda is an instrumental new partner in leading that continued growth."

Page 73's 20th Anniversary Season will begin with the world premiere of Mia Chung's Catch as Catch Can, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll. Performances begin on Monday, October 22, for a limited run through Saturday, November 17 at the New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street). Opening night is set for Wednesday, October 31. In May 2019, Page 73 will partner with Playwrights Horizons for the world premiere production of A Strange Loop, with book, music and lyrics written by Michael R. Jackson (White Girl in Danger) and directed by Stephen Brackett (Be More Chill, Ultimate Beauty Bible). A Strange Loop will have a limited engagement beginning Friday, May 24, 2019 through Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Playwrights Horizons (416 West 42nd Street).
