Tony Nominee Ariana DeBose to Thrill Birdland in November

Birdland Theater announces that Broadway singer/dancer Ariana DeBose will perform in concert on Monday, November 5 at 8:30pm.

Ariana DeBose makes her Birdland debut with Addicted to Love! Currently known as "Disco Donna," the reigning queen of disco in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, the Tony Nominated Actress and Chita Rivera Award winning dancer scales it back with jazz & rhythmic renditions of songs by Jessie J, Katy Perry, Paul McCartney, L.T.D and more. This 1 NIGHT ONLY concert with one of Broadway's newest stars will explore the addiction to "love" from A to Z from Ariana's perspective.

Ariana will be joined by musical director Victoria Theodore who has traveled around the world playing for Stevie Wonder & Beyoncé (FORMATION Tour). She will also be joined by Sherisse Rogers (bass), Rosa Avila (drums) and special guests Mairie Dorman Phanuef (cello) and Benjamin Rahuala (keys).

The last six years have taken DeBose from the Hollywood lights of Season Six of "So You Think You Can Dance" (top 20) to the original companies of Bring It On, Motown, Chazz Palminteri's A Bronx Tale (Jane) & Lin Manuel Miranda's Hamilton in which Ms. DeBose is best known as #theBullet. Her other credits include the Broadway revival of Pippin, Company at the NY Philharmonic starring Patti LuPone and Neil Patrick Harris, (TV) "Blue Bloods," "One Life To Live," appearances on "The Today Show" and "The Tonight Show" starring Jimmy Fallon. Now back on 46th Street bringing audiences to their feet nightly as Disco Donna Summer, she has solidified her place amongst the most dynamic triple threats in the business.
