WHAT: WAISTWATCHERS THE MUSCIAL AUDITIONS
Please prepare a 1-minute comedic monologue and an up-tempo song of your choice that shows off your belt (Broadway or pop – whichever you’d prefer).

WHAT ELSE: All rehearsals will also take place at The Royal George. 4 music rehearsals will take place August 14-17. Staging/Choreo rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, August 28th. Opening performance is on Thursday, September 13th. Possibility of an extended run.
CARLA (age 25-35) – Carla is the owner and had trainer of Miss Cook’s Women’s Gym. Carla is a high energy and enthusiastic personal trainer that guides the other 3 women through a series of workouts throughout her one-week boot camp. Carla has three insatiable passions: working out, chocolate, and men! The role requires a trained performer that is a very strong singer and dancer that also has strong comedic timing and instincts. Role requires a rock soprano belt.
CHERYL (age 35-50) – Cheryl is a businesswoman with a husband and one child. Cheryl is focused on her career, sharp, funny, and practical. Cheryl’s husband has recently discovered viagra and has rediscovered his desire for her, this results in an unexpected and unplanned pregnancy for Cheryl that leaves her trying to find ways to balance her career and a new baby. The role requires a trained performer that is a very strong singer and dancer that also has strong comedic timing and instincts.
CONNIE (age 35-60) – Connie has come to the gym to feel sexy again. Having been married for years and raising two children, she has lost control of her eating habits. While she was never skinny, Connie has gotten to a point where she no longer wants to feel like she isn’t in control of her health. Connie has an acerbic and direct sense of humor, she is larger than life. This character sings the show’s 11th hour number and has to have a very strong belt. The role requires a trained performer that is a strong singer and mover that also has strong comedic timing and instincts.
CINDY (age 30-50) – Cindy is a flighty woman who has recently discovered that her husband has been cheating on her. She is coming back to the gym to work her body back into shape so that she can compete with the “25-year-old bimbo” that her husband has left her for. Cindy is also looking for a job now that she is newly single. The role requires a trained performer that is a very strong singer and dancer that also has strong comedic timing and instincts. Role requires a strong soprano rock belt.
