HPAC Announces Auditions for The Dixie Swim Club
The Hendersonville Performing Arts Company announces auditions for THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB on Monday, February 11th and Tuesday February 12th at 6:30 p.m. at HPAC. It is encouraged to arrive 10-15 minutes before auditions to fill out an audition form. Head shots and resumes are welcome but not required. You will be asked to read scenes from the script with others that are auditioning. It is not necessary to attend both days. The cast for THE DIXIE SWIM CLUB includes a total of five women in their 40's - early 50's that will age approximately 20 years. This wonderful comedic piece spans thirty years in this funny and poignant comedy centering around an ensemble of five Southern women who rekindle relationships from their time on the college swim team by meeting at the Outer Banks once a year. The women catch up on each other’s lives and goings-on, meddling whenever possible and relying on each other for support. When a life-changing event impacts one of the women, the rest demonstrate how teamwork can end up in an unusual and surprising conclusion.
