Auditions Announced for Pixie Dust Players’ Summer Production and Theatre Workshops
This summer Pixie Dust Players is hosting one production and two workshops that will all be held at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, NJ.
Legally Blonde
First, this year’s summer production is Legally Blonde. This production is open to age 14. There are no fees to participate in this production. Auditions will be held by appointment on Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14 at the Hamilton Stage located at 360 Hamilton Street, Rahway, NJ. Please visit
pixiedustplayers.org/legally-blonde to set up an audition. Rehearsals will take place Sunday-Thursday 6:00-10:00pm beginning June 2 and performances are July 19-28.
A Year with Frog and Toad
The Junior Workshop for ages 5-13 is A Year with Frog and Toad. This is a 30 minute musical and there is $300.00 participation fee for this program. Auditions will be held on June 8 and rehearsals will be held Monday-Friday July 8-12 9:00-12:00pm or 1:30-4:30 and performances are July 12 and 13.
Frozen Junior
Lastly, this summer’s Advanced Workshop is Frozen Junior! Pixie Dust will be one of the first companies to produce this newly released title. This two-week program is open to ages 5-18. This will be a 60 minute musical with a $495.00 participation fee. Auditions will be held on May 28 and 29 and callbacks are June 2. Please visit
pixiedustplayers.org/frozen-jr to set up an audition. The rehearsals will take place Monday-Friday, August 12-23 9:00-3:00pm with performances August 23-25 on the UCPAC Main Stage.
This program models a professional rehearsal process and is perfect for performers of all experience levels. There is also extra skill building classes offered for anyone interested in additional training. Extra training can be added on from 3:00-5:00pm for $20.00 per day. Activities may include audition workshops, dance classes, acting classes, movie days, and more. A specific day by day schedule will be released by July.
Internships and staff positions are available for individuals ages 13 and up.
In 2007, Pixie Dust Players was founded by 12 year old Lindsay Maron. What began as a small troupe of young teens touring to nursing homes, children’s hospitals, and special education schools, soon became a full-fledged production company.
