Pioneer Theatre Company is holding auditions for La Cage aux Folles - Concert Production, the Tony Award-winning musical, which will run March 15 - 16, 2019; and Grease which will run from March 29 - April 13, 2019.
La Cage aux Folles - Concert Production is the story of partners Georges and Albin, who run the Saint-Tropez drag night club and where Albin is the star attraction. When Georges' son announces his engagement to the daughter of an ultra-conservative politician, comical chaos ensues! It will be directed and choreographed by Resident Artistic Director Karen Azenberg.
Grease's Danny and Sandy, the Pink Ladies and the Burger Palace Boys are back dancing and singing their way through their senior year. Enjoy the songs we enjoyed singing and dancing to, such as Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Greased Lightnin' and You're the One that I Want. Grease will also be directed/choreographed by Resident Artistic Director Karen Azenberg.
Auditions will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. is reserved for Actors Equity Association members ONLY. Callbacks will be held December 17, by invitation only. Please be aware that PTC does not accept video or online submissions. Rehearsal dates for La Cage are March 4 - March 14, 2019; performance dates are March 15 - 16, 2019. Rehearsal dates for Grease are April 15 - May 9, 2019; performance dates are May 10 - 25, 2019.
All auditions will be held in the Babcock Theatre at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to audition. Auditioners must come in to sign up on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The sign-up sheet will be posted on Dec. 5, 2018.
