AUDITIONS: HAY FEVER
MARCH 24TH & MARCH 25TH
Tacoma Little Theatre is holding auditions for its production of the British classic, Hay Fever, written by Noel Coward, and directed by Rick Hornor.
Auditions will be held Sunday, March 24th and Monday, March 25th at Tacoma Little Theatre. Audition appointments will be set between the times of 6:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday and 7:00pm-10:00pm on Monday in five-minute increments. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, March 27th.
Hoping for a quiet weekend in the country with some guests, David Bliss, a novelist and his wife Judith, a retired actress, find that an impossible dream when their high-spirited children, Simon and Sorel, appear with guests of their own. A houseful of drama waits to be ignited as misunderstandings and tempers flare. With Judith's new flame and David's newest literary “inspiration” keeping company as the children follow suit, the Bliss family lives up to its name as the “quiet weekend” comes to an exhausting and hilarious finale worthy of Feydeau.
Actors are asked to prepare a two-minute memorized monologue of their choice.
Actors of all ethnicities are encouraged to audition and all roles are available: Judith Bliss (female 40-55), David Bliss (male 40-60), Sorel Bliss (female 18-25), Simon Bliss (male, 18-30), Myra Arundel (female 25-45), Richard Greatham (male 30-40), Jackie Coryton (female 20-30), Sandy Tyrell (male 20-35), and Clara (female 40-60).
