Hartford Stage to Hold Equity Principal Auditions for 2018-19 Season

Hartford Stage will hold Equity Principal Auditions for its 2018-19 season on Tuesday, June 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. In the event that all audition time slots fill to capacity, an additional day of Equity Principal Auditions will be held on Wednesday, June 6. Auditions will be held at Hartford Stage offices located at
942 Main Street in Hartford on the second floor.

Equity Actors should email
auditions@hartfordstage.org no later than noon on Monday, June 4, to arrange for an appointment. Please include contact information, phone, email, and preferred audition appointment time. All Equity actors without an appointment will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. Non-Equity actors and Equity Membership Candidates are welcome to attend and will be seen, as time permits, on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are especially seeking local actors who live within a 50-mile radius of Hartford Stage.

Actors are asked to prepare a brief contemporary or classical monologue and bring two copies of a headshot and resume, stapled together, to the audition. Actors may also prepare 16 bars of a song from either musical theatre or opera and bring sheet music; a piano accompanist will be provided. Total time should not exceed two minutes.
