New Hampshire Theatre Project Announces June Workshops for Adults New Hampshire Theatre Project will be offering two exciting workshops for adults in June. Instructors can accommodate both beginners and advanced students.

Physical Acting Workshop - June 2

9:30 am to 12:30 pm, Fee $50

Instructor: C. Robin Marcotte

Have you ever found yourself in a scene and your physicality feels like it's lacking something? Have you ever caught yourself saying, "What should I do with my hands?" 95% of all communication is non-verbal. What is your body saying to the audience? Through corporeal mime, silent clowning and other physical theatre techniques, you'll realize the full potential of your body to communicate and create a dynamic physical character. By the end of this workshop, you'll have solid tools to get you out of a physicality rut. Movement clothing is required. Workshop is open to all levels. Private coaching opportunities are also available in the afternoon following the Physical Acting Workshop.

Instructor C. Robin Marcotte is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and a Teaching Lecturer at Plymouth State University. He trained at the Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre in Blue Lake, California. After completing the school's professional training program, Marcotte was invited to Philadelphia to perform in Mum Puppettheatre's production of Equus. He appeared in several Mum Puppettheatre productions, including Séance, Swan Lake, A Christmas Carol, and the award-winning From the Ashes. For the latter production, he toured with the company to the International Contemporary Dance Festival in Bytom, Poland. Marcotte holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College, with a focus in Theatre Creation, Theatrical Social Engagement and Theatre Pedagogy. He currently serves as the board president of Circadium School of Contemporary Circus - the nation's first higher education circus program.

Adult Scene Study Workshop - June 11-27

Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30-9:00 pm, Fee $200

Instructor: Genevieve Aichele

Specific content will be tailored to individual participants. There will be an optional opportunity for a final recital performance.
