Lyle Lovett & John Hiatt Come to ABT Feb. 7

Fewer than 200 tickets remain for "An Evening with Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt" at Alberta Bair Theater on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.

Lyle Lovett, singer composer actor, has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. With a gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in an inclusive, eclectic manner that breaks down barriers.

John Hiatt, singer songwriter, has just completed his 23rd studio album The Eclipse Sessions. Following his move Nashville, the material came quickly, showing he still has much to say. Long celebrated as a skilled storyteller and keen observer of life's twists and turns, Hiatt can get at the heart of a knotty emotion or a moment in time with just a sharp, incisive lyric or witty turn of phrase. This latest album proves Hiatt is only getting better with age, his guitar playing more rugged and rootsy, his words wider and more wry.

Tickets, $75, $57, are on sale at the ABT Box office, located at 2801 Third Avenue North, and by phone at (406) 256-6052 and online at www.albertabairtheater.org.
