The Circuit Playhouse, in partnership with Amy Hertz, Robert Shankman, and super sponsor Dr. Thomas Ratliff, welcome the jungle to Memphis' professional theatre stage.

Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar: A Musical Adventure follows Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hop Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they escape from their home in New York's Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey of a lifetime.

Resident Company Member and multiple time Ostrander winner Nathan McHenry (Memphis, Million Dollar Quartet) leads this talented cast as Alex. Joining him on this family friendly adventure are Associate Company Members Danny Crowe (Tuck Everlasting, Peter Pan) as Melman, Kristin Doty (Little Women: The Broadway Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) as Rico, Ryan Duda (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) as Skipper, Kelly McCarty (Peter Pan, Tuck Everlasting) as Mort, Talen Piner (Sweat, Little Women: The Broadway Musical) as King Julien, and Michaela Tramuta (Peter Pan, Little Women: The Broadway Musical) as Kowalski. The 2018 Larry Riley Rising Star Award winner Breyannah Tillman(Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook, DreamGirls) returns to The Circuit Playhouse stage as Gloria.

Performances will run Thursday & Friday with 7:00 a curtain. Saturday and Sunday performances will begin at 2:00 pm. Matinee performances for school groups are also available select days during the week. For tickets, call the Box Office at (901) 726-4656 or visit our website www.playhouseonthesquare.org.
