Orpheum Theatre Group Announces 2019-20 Broadway Season

Tonight the Orpheum Theatre Group revealed the 2019-2020 Broadway Season during an announcement event at the historic Orpheum Theatre. Attendees were the first to hear about next season's lineup. The evening also included special live performances from some of next season's shows.

"The 2019-2020 season is full of terrific productions, most of which have not previously visited Memphis. The season includes contemporary hits, a classic revival, and the first non-musical Broadway production to be presented at the Orpheum since 2014," said Brett Batterson, President & CEO. "Following a historic record-breaking year, we are excited to present this incredible season to our patrons."

The 2019-2020 subscription series begins with the six-time TONY and GRAMMY award winning pop culture phenomenon DEAR EVAN HANSEN. The Broadway box-office record-breaking revival HELLO, DOLLY! arrives in December. Kicking off 2020, an amazing tale comes to life on stage in Roald Dahl'S CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. Discover a whole new world at Disney's ALADDIN, the hit Broadway musical that will play a special two-week engagement. Based on Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri's story, A BRONX TALE is bursting with high-energy dance numbers and original doo-wop tunes from Alan Menken. COME FROM AWAY closes out the season and takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them.
