Photo Flash: Maine State Music Theatre Opens Diamond Jubilee Season with MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET

Maine State Music Theatre opens its 60th season with a new title to the Pickard Stage. Million Dollar Quartet is produced in association with the Fulton Theatre and is the electrifying story of how four stars made music history! Million Dollar Quartet runs from June 6 to June 23.

Based on a true story, the Tony® Award-winning hit-sensation, Million Dollar Quartet brings Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins together for one of the greatest jam sessions ever! This juke-box musical takes the audience through an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations that is both poignant and funny. Relive the era through the Billboard genres of rock 'n' roll, gospel, R&B and country with an unbelievable score and unforgettable numbers that every generation knows, including "Blue Suede Shoes," "Fever," "Walk the Line," "Great Balls of Fire," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Hound Dog," and many more.

Hunter Foster, who is directing the MSMT production of Million Dollar Quartet, starred as the original Sam Phillips in the Broadway run.

The show stars Eric Scott Anthony as Brother Jay. On Broadway, Eric was in the Original Cast of Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash. He has performed in the National Tours of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and Pump Boys & Dinettes.

James Barry will star as Carl Perkins and the shows' Musical Director. On Broadway Barry has starredin Bloody Bloody Andrew Jacksonand was in the 1st National Tour of Million Dollar Quartet. He has also been on the TV show "Difficult People".

Zach Cossman stars as Fluke. He has been in the Off-Broadway productions of Revolution in the Elbow... and Blue Man Group.

Brittany Danielle stars as Dyanne. Brittany was last seen in Center REP's production of Million Dollar Quartet. Credits include: the World Premiere of Monstress and Xanadu for which she won a Shellie Award for Best Actress and later reprised at WaterTower theater in Texas.

Brandyn Day stars as Jerry Lee Lewis. He has been in the NY premieres of The Pokémusical and Madagascar.

Jason Loughlin stars as Sam Phillips. Jason has performed on Broadway in Machinal and The Audience; in the national tour of War Horse.

Scott Moreau (originally from Litchfield, Maine) stars as Johnny Cash. Reprising his role from the 1st National Tour, Papermill Playhouse, Ogunquit Playhouse, Riverside Theatre and Harrah's Casino in Las Vegas.

Ari McKay Wilford stars as Elvis Presley. On Broadway Ari has starred in Once.
