Some Theatre Company is at it again!

Known for their innovative productions, Little Shop of Horrors - opening Oct 31st with a Halloween Gala - will be no exception to their rule - "always think outside the box!"

Lyricist Howard Ashman and composer Alan Menken teamed up to create a tongue in cheek musical romantic comedy that asks the world, what would happen if a giant man eating plant came to town?

Some Theatre Company is taking the show one step further. With portions of the show done entirely in grey-scale, this is a nod to the musicals B movie roots, as well as giving a platform to allow lighting designer (and cast member - Urchin) Erryn Bard, to really shine. Another twist on the classic will be Audrey II. Opting not to rent the enormous puppets usually expected with this show, STC has chosen to instead hi-light its Audrey II actor, Jason Wilkes, (who also serves as STC's resident Music Director) on stage, and in costume. This opens up a lot of avenues for stage play between Seymour (Paul Allen) - Audrey (Stacy Laflin) - Mushnik (Daniel J. Legere) and the audiences' favorite character to hate, Dentist - (Ken Lozier).

Rounding out the cast as URCHINS/ENSEMBLE- Dannin Scher, Brandon Clark, Mikayla Burridge, Amanda Stewart.

STC promises they are unleashing a few more surprises on its audience. Working in a non traditional space, STC often chooses to not utilize the very small (14 x 17) stage, and instead build on the other side of the room. Little Shop will hold to this new tradition for musicals, but, having wowed audiences in the past with their unconventional sets that defy the logic of such a small space, this one will up the ante.

This is sure to be a production people won't want to miss!
