THEATRE LAWRENCE announces a brand new season filled with surprises, a musical favorite, and some brand new shows to tempt you.

The season will begin in September with the new Tony Award Winning musical, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER. Set in London 1907, a penniless clerk learns he is 9th in line to inherit an earldom. Mysteriously the eight heirs ahead of him begin to meet their demise in strange and interesting ways. Meanwhile, he keeps falling in and out of love. And they sing about it in this knock-'em-dead uproarious hit.

Start practicing your Time Warp!, because in October, the cult classic, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, will be back by popular demand. Sshhh! The Theatre's Holiday Show is a hot new Broadway musical. Licensing requires us to keep the title a secret until August 1. Stay tuned.

The January cold won't stop us! How about all 37 of Shakespeare's plays in 97 minutes? Madcap actors in tights will weave their wicked way through THE COMPLEAT WORKS OF William Shakespeare (ABRIDGED) in one wild ride that will leave audiences breathless from this irreverent, fast-paced comedy!

In March we will offer YOURS, ANNE. This renowned chronicle of two Jewish families during the Nazi occupation is a haunting and powerful story, enhanced in this version by lyrical music. Propelled by the undying faith of a young girl on the threshold of life, Anne Frank's heartbreaking and ultimately uplifting diary stirs our deepest emotions, in a reminder of the enduring strength of the human spirit.

SILENT SKY, our April 2020 show, is a relatively new work by Lauren Gunderson based on the true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt, who helped change the way we understand both the Heavens and Earth. It explores a woman's place in society during a time of immense scientific discoveries, when women's ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit for them.

The season finale will be the ever-popular HELLO, DOLLY! The blockbuster Broadway hit bursts with humor, romance, high-energy dancing, and some of the greatest songs in musical theater history, including "Put On Your Sunday Clothes", "Ribbons Down My Back", "Before the Parade Passes By", "Hello, Dolly!", "Elegance", and "It Only Takes a Moment."

Season Tickets will go on sale May 1! For Tickets: 785-843-SHOW (7469) | Box Office hours 11:30 -4:30 M-F www.theatrelawrence.com
