Thriller Short Film FLICKER Nominated For The Stella Adler Award

The nine-minute short film, FLIKKER, is actor Reid Miller's first foray into the multi-hyphenated world of film auteur. An homage to classic, suspense thrillers such as American Pyscho and Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo, FLIKKER is the story of one young man's descent into madness prompted by self-imposed confusion and guilt. Seemingly trapped and alone, stalked and tormented by a malevolent force, he's left questioning his sanity and what it means to be him in this continually changing world.

Reid Miller (PLAY BY PLAY, A GIRL NAMED JO, THE FOSTERS) is a popular teen actor with a sizable following that grows by the day. Reid's fans find him relatable and kind, and they express their loyalty often through their dedication to his social media. By working in various platforms Reid has managed to cross the lines as a traditional filmmaker in a digital world. In addition to FLIKKER, he is a prolific writer who has authored many short films and several feature length screenplays, all of which are finding their way on the film festival circuit.

Flikker is Reid's first time out as a writer/director/actor, immediately on the heels of his Sundance acting debut earlier this year (2018) as the lead in the grand jury nominated short film WYRM. His Sundance experience fueled him to follow his dream as a filmmaker and get a short under his belt. FLIKKER has already won the Award of Recognition in short and experimental film at IndieFest and is nominated for The Stella Adler Award-Excellence in Film and Best Young Filmmaker Awards at Action on Film International Film Festival.
