Peekaboo Gallery Comes To Pasadena, Today In the heart of historic, Old Pasadena, California, a new gateway to discover the past has opened - Peekaboo Gallery - an experience for the collector and pop culture enthusiast like none other in the world. The venue will officially open on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. PDT with the Honorable Mayor of Pasadena, Terry Tornek presiding.

Peekaboo Gallery is a novel concept in the curation, exhibition and sale of rare and unique relics and memorabilia. Through innovative, theatrical presentations, Peekaboo Gallery has reimagined the standard gallery exhibition by offering its guests a fresh and fully immersive experience and gives collectors the chance to purchase rare items without going through the auction process. The new venue is not only an entertainment destination but a curated gallery of sought-after items for exhibit and sale. As the exhibits change regularly, fans and collectors will have an opportunity to witness their favorite moments of yesteryear through creative displays and storylines

All of this is the creation of Jordan Reichek, a thirty-year veteran of the animation industry, whose studio work includes some of the biggest names in entertainment such as Walt Disney Studios, Nickelodeon, Dreamworks, Spumco, Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network. When not producing and directing cartoons, Jordan's other passion has been that of a rabid gatherer of everything vintage pop-culture.

The grand opening show, "25¢ a Play: The Art of the Videocade" is a landmark celebration of classic coin-op video arcade with such rarities as the 1980 Battlezone; 1980 Missile Command, considered one of the great classic video games from the Golden Age of Arcade Games; 1983 Tron, inspired by the Disney film; 1971 Computer Space, it release marked the beginning of the commercial video game industry; extremely rare working Computer Space, a scarce Pre-Atari videogame considered as Holy Grails in the videogame collecting sector; 1976 Death Race, one of only 500 ever made, the game was protested by newspapers and civic organizations for its violence eventually getting it banned; a 1979 Bally Star Trek game, developed before the production of "Star Trek the Motion Picture;" a 1980 Pac-Man game, the single most popular game of all time; a 1978 Bally KISS pinball machine and many others.

For the limited exhibition, Peekaboo Gallery is also featuring a rare collection of Atari commercial artwork for sale. This includes everything from scarce prototype concepts to final Atari cartridge box art including the very rare "Raiders of the Lost Ark" original art for Atari.

Peekaboo Gallery's grand opening is open to the public. Media is invited to cover and attend. Peekaboo's focus on 20th Century pop culture can be considered as one of the most unique venues ever designed. For a limited time the opening show will celebrate this time and then will change with a new themed show being announced. Media is encouraged to visit Peekaboo Gallery to experience the show, the storytelling and the historic experience.
