Tivoli Village Artist Mario Basner To Represent Southern Nevada At The 2019 Venice Art Biennale Festival

Tivoli Village award-winning artist Mario Basner has been hand-selected by the European Culture Center and the Global Art Affairs Foundation to showcase his artwork at the Venice Art Biennale taking place from Sat., May 11 through Sun., Nov. 24 in Italy. Basner is among 30 artists worldwide that have been globally selected to showcase intricate pieces to an audience of well over 500,000 attendees in a formal gallery setting.

"I am elated to represent Las Vegas during the most prestigious exhibition in the world," said Basner when asked about his invitation to the Venice Art Biennale. "Not only am I honored to showcase my own artwork, but I am excited to showcase Las Vegas as an epicenter for the arts, similar to New York City and Los Angeles."

Just last week on March 1, Basner held an upscale fundraising event in the penthouse atop the One Queensridge Place in Summerlin to alleviate exhibition and artwork transportation costs associated with his invitation. The intimate and ultra-exclusive "A World Class Vision" event was hosted by University of Nevada at Las Vegas Presidential Advisor Don Snyder, and Carnegie Hall Concert Pianist Dr. Alexandria Le performed. Guests sampled caviar and blinis paired with a Louis XIII tasting as they browsed Basner's fine artwork.

Basner has a gallery located at Tivoli Village in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has been preaching his mission to local artists city-wide in efforts to remove existing stigmas from Las Vegas and bring recognition to its diverse artistic landscape.
