Feature: 'DANCING WITH THE STARS' TONY DOVOLANI HOSTS CHIPPENDALES at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino

"Dancing with the Stars" Mirror Ball Champion Tony Dovolani kicks up his heels on stage as the guest host of the world famous Chippendales through May 27.

As for appearing in Las Vegas, he hosted the touring "Dancing with the Stars" at the Tropicana. However, this is his first time as a headliner in Las Vegas.

"The Chippendales is such an incredible brand and for me to wear the bow tie as part of the troupe is fantastic," he told BroadwayWorld.com. "I want to do it justice and represent in the best way."

He is also choreographing some of the acts in the show adding a Latin flavor to create a new experience for the audience. Dovolani has been dancing since he was three years old and that is how he identifies himself. When he moved to the United States, Dovolani realized he could have a career as a dancer. "I can't imagine my life without dancing professionally."

When not dancing or performing, Dovolani teaches, coaches and works with the nonprofit he set up, the Tony Dovolani Foundation: Golf for Special Needs Children.

"This will be our third year, and it started as a passion project since my son is autistic," he explained. "My wife and I do many things to make his life as easy as possible. We are blessed that he is high functioning. But I realized needed therapies are expensive, and many families don't have the means to provide this for their kids. I want to bring awareness to this as well as donate 100 percent of everything raised to the foundation. We have raised over $250,000." He is also donating a portion of his salary from his Chippendales appearance to his foundation.

Dovolani hits the links playing in Pro-AM and other charity tournaments, and serves on the PGA Player and Coaching Development Committee as a way to contribute to professional golf.

Dancers can get professional instruction at his 11 Dance with Me USA studios (co-owned with Maksim and Val Chmerkovskiy), where he judges professional competitions and hosts a variety of corporate and private events. He will also be teaching the Salsa, Rumba, Tango and Cha Cha on a cruise including his birthday celebration on July 17.

Tony Dovolani residency continues through May 27 (Thursday through Sunday night performances only). Tickets can be purchased by calling (702) 777-7776 or by visiting www.Chippendales.com.
