2019-2020 Kansas City Broadway Series Announced; DEAR EVAN HANSEN, COME FROM AWAY, and More

The 2019-20 Sabates Eye Centers Kansas City Broadway Series is proud to announce the 2019-20 Kansas City Broadway Series, presented by Broadway Across America and The American Theatre Guild at the Music Hall and Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Joining previously announced DEAR EVAN HANSEN and Disney's ALADDIN are COME FROM AWAY, MISS SAIGON, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. There will be a season add-on show that will be announced at a later date.

DEAR EVAN HANSEN

October 15-20, 2019 * Music Hall

MISS SAIGON

December 10-15, 2019 * Music Hall

This is the story of a young Vietnamese woman named Kim who is orphaned by war and forced to work in a bar run by a notorious character known as the Engineer. FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

March 17 - 22, 2020 * Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

Tony Award-Winning director Bartlett Sher and the team behind SOUTH PACIFIC, THE KING AND I, and 2017 Tony Award-Winning Best Play OSLO, bring a fresh and authentic vision to this beloved theatrical masterpiece from Tony Award-winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize winner Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick.

The original production won ten Tony Awards, including a special Tony Award for becoming the longest-running Broadway musical of all time. You'll be there when the sun rises on this new production, with stunning movement and dance from acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter, based on the original staging by Jerome Robbins.
