TDP Presents '18 International Dance Festival in October International performer and choreographer, Liz Roche, is just one of the myriad of artists and performers who will be in Tipperary for the International Dance Festival which takes place in various venues from October 8th to 14th. Now in its ninth year, the world-class programme includes appearances by Mariantonia Oliver, Alexandra Waierstall, Holly Small, Luke Murphy, Affari Esteri and of course, The Liz Roche Company: masterclasses, workshops, exhibitions and symposiums and it will put Tipperary at the centre of the dance world for a week in October. Artistic Directors and curators, Jazmin Chiodi and Alexandre Iseli have assembled a varied and multi generational programme which will give audiences an unforgettable experience.

For the second year, TDP will host a Dance and Health event in Nenagh Arts Centre, curated by Dr Orlaith Ni Bhriain linking the worlds of performance, professional artists, researchers and health workers. From Spain, Mariantonia Oliver, will work with older local women to present a performance of Las Muchas (The Many). In the Source Arts Centre in Thurles, Alexandra Waierstall from Germany, will create a physical landscape where movement is woven like a long breath through ever changing relations of sound and silence with his performance of Annna³. Lost Dog from the UK will re-tell the story of the beginning of everything in Paradise Lost, inspired by Milton's poem of the same name, in Tipperary Excel Arts Centre. Affari Esteri from France will also appear in Excel Arts Centre performing Holy, a work inspired by Allen Ginsberg's poem Howl. The wide ranging and adventurous programme also includes a playful dance performance for children that interacts with the words of Dr Seuss from award winning Canadian dance artist and educator, Holly Small, which will take place in Clonmel Library on Monday 8th, Nenagh Library on Tuesday 9th Excel Arts Centre on Wednesday 10th and Thurles Library on the 11th. Holly will also reinterpret the poetry of poet Doireann Ní Ghríofa with original music by renowned composer, John Oswald, in Museum of Missing Things in Excel Arts Centre.

Enjoy the wide range of Performances, Exhibitions, Live Installations, Screendance and Master Classes in a programme which will take place in venues, galleries, libraries and cinemas, in Tipperary, Clonmel, Thurles and Nenagh, from October 8th to 14th.
