Destined to be performed on the Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre stage, the five-time Tony Award winning musical Man of La Mancha finally fulfills that promise as it is now on stage through Nov. 18. Beef & Boards welcomes Broadway performer and Disney voiceover artist Richard White in the title role of its much-anticipated production.

Man of La Mancha is based on the Miguel de Cervantes 17th Century novel Don Quixote. Set in a dungeon during the Spanish Inquisition, this musical play-within-a-play harkens back to a time of chivalry, adventure, romance, and a noble knight in a poignant and passionate quest for the impossible dream.

It also confronts the vague line between sanity and lunacy, asking "When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"

White is best known as the voice of Gaston in Disney's 1991 animated film "Beauty and the Beast." On Broadway, he has performed in The Most Happy Fella, Jekyll and Hyde, and Gigi. He has also performed in the touring productions of Jekyll and Hyde, Urinetown, Camelot, and The King and I, in addition to decades of regional performances.

Erica Hanrahan-Ball returns to Beef & Boards in the role of Aldonza, having been seen on its stage in Cabaret in 2006. Eddie Curry plays the sidekick Sancho Panza.

The celebrated score includes the powerful and inspiring "The Impossible Dream," plus "I, Don Quixote," "Dulcinea," "I Really Like Him" and "Little Bird," to name a few. Man of La Mancha won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Man of La Mancha is on stage for 40 performances through Nov. 18. Tickets range from $44 to $69, and include Chef Odell Ward's dinner buffet, fruit & salad bar, unlimited coffee, tea and lemonade.
