The Indian festive season has just begun and true to its form many celebrations are already underway. As the holy period of Navratras is being celebrated with fanfare and religiosity, it is also the time for one of the most infectious of traditions popular in India around this time.

Dandiya -- a dance involving dancing sticks where mean and women in their traditional fineries dance to the beats of foot-tapping music. Originally called Dandiya Raas, the form originated in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The featured dance during the month of Navratra, many small and big dandiya nights are held in North and West India.

Keeping the tradition of this festivity is the second in the series of dandiya nights titled Dandiya Night, 18' that will be held in Delhi. Touted as one of the biggest events in town the second series of this dandiya event promises to be even grander according to the organizers. In its inaugural event last year over 1,000 participants from Delhi and NCR were a part of the fanfare. This year, the event will see Singer Shankar Sahney, Designer Amit Talwar, Mrs Central West Asia Universe 2018 - Biri Shanti Nido & Casting Director Deepak Mehrotra and many more famous personalities of the City.

The highlights of Dandiya Night'18 include performances of a group of choreographers, music by Percussionist Meeta Singh, Lucky Draws, Prizes, lip Smacking Food.
