Laura Osnes To Bring Solo Show Back To The Midwest

Hot off of Broadway's Tony Award-winning musical Bandstand, Laura Osnes brings her solo show to The 1919 Lounge for one night only. In this intimate evening, Laura will be sharing songs and stories from throughout her colorful career.

Originally from Eagan, Minnesota, Laura catapulted to the top of the Broadway world after winning the role of Sandy in NBC's competition Grease: You're the One That I Want for the 2007 Broadway revival of the hit musical. From there her blazing talent and soaring singing voice have landed her two Tony nominations and roles in South Pacific, Anything Goes, and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Joining Laura on stage will be Grand Forks based pianist, Keith Teepen.

The 1919 Lounge is a snazzy new venue on the Empire's intimately transformed stage. This one-of-a-kind setting has seen the likes of Broadway stars Liz Callaway and Shoshana Bean to Tony nominee and TV/film star Santino Fontana. Throughout the evening lite bites and handcrafted beverages will be served by Helix Wine & Bites.

This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of The Bob & Sally Clayburgh Family Foundation. Additional support is provided by the Greater Grand Forks Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Toasted Frog, and Sadie's Couture Floral & Event Styling. This project is supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The 1919 Lounge has extremely limited seating. Guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance as tables are assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Table preferences can by made by calling the box office. For tickets call 701-746-5500 or visit www.empireartscenter.com.
