STORYLINE:
The Immigrant is the story of Haskell Harelik, a 19 year-old Russian Jew who flees persecution to arrive in Hamilton, Texas in 1909. As a stranger in a strange land, Haskell is befriended by Milton and Ima Perry, a Texas couple that open up their home and reputation within the community to help him, and his wife Leah, establish a life in America. The Immigrant explores assimilation through the power of friendship, hard work, and the courage to build relationships with people radically different from ourselves.

This play requires actors of great depth, warmth and passion.
