APPOINTMENTS

SEEKING

Equity actors for the 2019-20 Season.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company specializes in classic plays. The theatre is always seeking new classical actors of all age ranges and types to add to its files.

PREPARATION

Prepare one (1) classical monologue, preferably Shakespeare not to exceed 3 minutes total. You may also prepare 1 classical monologue and 1 contemporary monologue, but the entire audition is not to exceed 3 minutes total.

Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together.

Wendy - girl, smart, curious, brave, hopeful

Mr. Darling / Hook - Father and Adversary. Proud, sure of himself, pompous, brooding, vengeful and dangerous

Mrs. Darling - Mother. Kind, maternal

Michael – Wendy’s youngest brother. He is sweet, innocent, kind and curious.

John - Wendy's middle brother, anxious, over-achiever

Tiger Lilly - Strong, clever, determined and forthright.

Tinkerbell - mischievous, brat, defensive, fast

Tootles - Lost Boy –Forgetful, innocent, loving and dedicated to Peter.

Nana - Nana is a doting and loving nurse to the Darling children.

Nibs - Lost Boy – adventurous, loyal, impulsive, wild

Slightly - Lost Boy - adventurous, loyal, impulsive, wild

Curly – Lost Boy – the most difficult of the group, and always getting into trouble

Liza – The Darling family’s maid. She is an ordinary household maid

The Crocodile – Enemy to Captain Hook and Smee, Gigantic and slender

Twin 1 – Lost Boy - very close to Twin 2, and they stick together

Twin 2 – Lost Boy – very close to Twin 1, and they stick together

Pirate #1 (Smee) – Loyal, absent minded, sycophantic.

Pirate #2 (Cecco) – Ruthless, handsome, dangerous

Pirate #3 (Bill Jukes) – Imposing, dangerous, wild and reckless

Pirate #4 (Cookson) – Mysterious, dangerous and faithful

Pirate #5 (Gent. Starkey) – Devoted, a survivor, dangerous and ruthless

Pirate #6 (Skylight) – Loyal to his own detriment
